WE DO CARE has wide community contact and a small business focus. Hence we are looking for all types of personnel to fill the roles required.

Vacancies for employment, occur from time to time for either Carer or Cleaning positions.

Carers

Carers provide daily living assistance to people in their own homes. The following eight requirements are essential for employment as a Carer to be considered, by WE DO CARE.

  1. Qualifications (either of the following, equivalent, willing to obtain, or substantial amount of relevant experience):
    • Cert III Individual Care
    • Cert III Aged Care Work
    • Cert III Home and Community Care
    • Cert III Disability Work
    • Cert III Community Services
  2. Senior First Aid accreditation (within the previous 3yrs)
  3. Senior CPR accreditation (within the previous 12mths)
  4. Manual Handling accreditation (within the previous 12mths)
  5. National Police Clearance (within 6 months of date of application)
  6. Smart Mobile Phone
  7. Registered Roadworthy Car
  8. Current Driver’s Licence

Cleaners

Cleaners undertake Domestic Duties such as vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning wet areas, wiping and dusting surfaces, changing linen, laundry and ironing. The following eight requirements are essential for employment as a Cleaner to be considered, by WE DO CARE.

  1. Previous relevant experience
  1. Senior First Aid accreditation (within the previous 3yrs)
  2. Senior CPR accreditation (within the previous 12mths)
  3. Manual Handling accreditation (within the previous 12mths)
  4. National Police Clearance (within 6 months of date of application)
  5. Smart Mobile Phone
  6. Registered Roadworthy Car
  7. Current Driver’s Licence

Training

Training and Development is ongoing, using face-to-face and online methodologies.  While we require staff to maintain up-to-date specific training and accreditation, we encourage and support personal training and development throughout employment.

Annual renewal of accreditations for staff includes CPR and Manual Handling, while Senior First Aid accreditation and a National Police Clearance are required to be renewed every three years.

Additional subjects may be covered at the bi-monthly staff meetings, e.g. cultural awareness, dementia, mental health, elder abuse etc. These subjects are considered to be helpful to the worker in their role.
